Our client is currently seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief out of their Glenwood Springs office. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with clients, their representatives, and contractors.
- Supervise the field survey team.
- Ensure the team is equipped with personal protection equipment and adheres to safety protocols.
- Prepare field notes.
- Comply with local, state, and federal survey regulations.
- Technical skills in boundary, easement, right of ways, topo surveys, GPS RTK and Static surveys, design surveys, aerial mapping, and construction layout.
Qualifications:
- 5-20+ years of land surveying experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Physical capability to perform typical land surveying tasks, including carrying 50+ lbs. of survey gear through mountainous terrain.
- Detailed understanding of coordinate systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
- Motivated problem solver.
- Willingness to work long hours when needed, with occasional out-of-town travel.
- Strong desire to live, work, and play in Western Colorado.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Colorado LSI or PLS.
- Experience as a Party Chief.
- Civil 3D experience.
- GIS experience.
- Experience with Trimble software and hardware.
- Diverse surveying experience with GPS and conventional surveying equipment, including boundary retracement, construction staking, topographic mapping, and legal description preparation.
Compensation is highly dependent on individual qualifications and years of experience: $28-45/hr
