Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager to join their team in Napa, California. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in successfully managing heavy road, highway, bridge, and/or utility projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and utilities.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
Conduct regular site visits to oversee project activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior management.
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues that arise during project execution.
Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing heavy civil construction projects, specifically in roads, highways, bridges, and/or utilities.
Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
