Job Title: Geotechnical Project Engineer

Job Description:
Join a dynamic team in the West Region as a Geotechnical Project Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects across various markets, including Commercial, Data Centers, Education, Government & Military, Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing, Infrastructure & Transportation, Power, Residential, and Undeveloped Land. You will collaborate with a wide range of different disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee subsurface investigations, including drilling exploration boreholes and advancing CPTs at various sites throughout Southern California.
- Review and assign laboratory testing for geotechnical samples.
- Oversee inspection of construction activities to monitor progress and assess conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction standards.
- Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, seepage, settlement, earth retention, liquefaction, and shallow and deep foundations.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations.
- Review regulations and standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carry out project design and permitting work.
- Prepare and/or peer review designs, specifications, and construction documents.
- Assemble and document geotechnical data using software such as Excel, Word, gINT, and AutoCAD.
- Apply QA/QC requirements to your own work and the work of the project team.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus four (4) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid driver's license.
- Professional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Civil Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Geotechnical California GE registration is a plus.
- Working knowledge of relevant California seismic code provisions.
- Strong commitment to ensuring safe project execution.
- Local travel may be required.
- Experience working with local permitting jurisdictions.
- OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification.

- Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,000.00 - $120,000.00.
