Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to oversee their wet utility projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large diameter water, sewer, and storm line installations. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of wet utility projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of foremen, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and material logs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in wet utility projects, specifically working with large diameter water, sewer, and storm lines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in wet utility projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
