Responsibilities:
- Participate in the structural design process for vertical construction, renovation, and replacement projects from start to finish.
- Support clients with structural projects in their local office/region, backed by senior structural engineers and project managers.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Create structural engineering designs and drawings (plans, details, sections) in AutoCAD and REVIT, including for renovations and new constructions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Attend client meetings and presentations to discuss design concepts and progress.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed, with some travel required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 7+ years experience in structural engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, including ASCE 7, IBC, TMS, NDS, and ACI.
- Experience with steel, concrete, and composite material design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the southeast USA and nationally to job sites, including US military and other government sites.
