Position: Structural Design Engineer
This firm is seeking an energetic and talented Structural Engineer to join their team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers and architects on a variety of projects, with roles in design, team leadership, and project leadership, providing ample room for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in structural design for vertical construction, renovation, and replacement projects from concept to completion.
Assist clients with structural projects supported by senior structural engineers and project managers.
Provide solutions for building roof and wall structure designs and issues.
Prepare calculations, analyses, and reports.
Conduct structural analysis to ensure designs meet industry standards.
Perform structural design and drawing in AutoCAD and REVIT for renovations and new construction.
Mentor junior engineers.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress.
Conduct site visits and inspections, with some travel required.
Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtain licensure.
4+ years of structural engineering experience focusing on vertical building design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in structural analysis software like ETABS or SAP2000.
Strong understanding of building codes and regulations (ASCE 7, IBC, TMS, NDS, ACI).
Experience with steel, concrete, and composite material design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel for job sites and ability to access US military and other government sites.
Self-discipline, hard work, and customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
Leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
Valid driver's license required.
