The Site Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing integrated site plans and schedules for all onshore and offshore operations, including the annual Operations & Maintenance (O&M) plan. This includes long-, medium-, and short-term planning to ensure smooth execution and coordination across all operational activities.
Responsibilities
As a Site Planner, your duties will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Develop, maintain, and execute integrated site plans and schedules for all onshore and offshore operations, ensuring alignment with the annual O&M plan.
- Review subcontractor plans and ensure they align with the annual O&M plan, while addressing and preventing planning conflicts.
- Monitor statutory inspections of various assets, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist Offshore Representatives in managing onshore/offshore operations, BoP scheduled service and maintenance, and on-site project management.
- Support the O&M Manager in translating the Annual O&M Program into actionable daily, medium- and long-term plans to maximize synergies, reduce costs, and minimize yield losses.
- Help execute short- and long-term maintenance plans/schedules on a daily basis.
- Maintain records and archives for all maintenance work conducted on wind turbines and BoP to ensure traceability.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational planning to maximize energy yield and minimize downtime.
- Ensure efficient handover of wind turbines from the construction team, address non-conformity reports, and coordinate necessary offshore access training.
- Participate in regular site performance and problem-solving meetings, contributing to ongoing reviews.
- Prioritize and review new safety, process, and reliability improvements for the site.
- Implement continuous improvement of O&M plans and schedules, adhering to Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) principles.
- Support daily operational management of generating assets, including scheduling and controlling site works, managing emergency responses, coordinating unscheduled maintenance, and addressing network outages, faults, and failures.
- Identify project risks, propose mitigating actions, and monitor their ongoing status.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and service providers to optimize performance.
- Coordinate with other technical teams for inspections and operational reviews.
- Oversee operational training needs, including IT tools, operational tools, asset access, and OEM-required training.
- Coordinate planned outages and manage tools and PPE tracking.
- Ensure low response times and effective execution of corrective and preventive maintenance, defect remediation, and resolution of technical issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of offshore wind project experience.
- Background in technical, engineering, or operations roles.
- Strong knowledge of the offshore wind industry and best practices.
- Effective communicator with proven ability to build strong business relationships and represent the company in meetings and presentations.
- In-depth technical understanding of full asset operational requirements and logistics.
- Proficient in quality standards, best practices, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance.
- A proactive self-starter with strong organizational and process-oriented skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- IT literate (familiar with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; open to learning and utilizing internal systems).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in health and safety-critical environments, including building and maintaining an HSE culture during transition and operational start-up phases.
- Proficient in IT and presentation tools.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (minimum CEFR Level C1).
Desirable:
- Experience in maintenance planning.
- Background in offshore EPC projects or the operational start-up of offshore wind farms.
- Familiarity with SAP and the Microsoft Office package, with the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
- In-depth knowledge of operational processes within offshore wind farms.
- Strong technical understanding of wind turbine generators (WTG), cables, offshore substations (OSS), foundations, and required maintenance activities.
