We have a current opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer out of our client's Long Beach, California office. This opportunity is Hybrid Flexible (3/2 scheduling).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Specification: Develop medium-voltage infrastructure designs (2.4kV - 35kV), including switchgear, transformers, and related systems. Design underground distribution and shore power systems, and coordinate protective relaying and SCADA integration.
- Project Management: Lead large projects, mentor junior engineers, and prepare client proposals. Support business development for new and existing clients.
- Construction Administration: Review RFIs, equipment submittals, and perform site inspections, including punch walks and reports.
- Field & Pre-Design: Conduct field surveys, gather data, and prepare electrical schematic designs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical infrastructure design
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
- Prior experience working on port or federal site projects
