Role Overview:
The Senior Digital Water Solutions Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering digital solutions that transform water management for municipalities and utilities. With a deep expertise in smart water technologies, you'll lead projects that deploy advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), IoT sensors, predictive analytics, and digital platforms. Working closely with public sector clients, you'll focus on optimising water usage, reducing waste, enhancing customer experiences, and promoting sustainable water systems.
In this role, you will guide strategic projects, oversee their execution, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of smart water solutions that align with sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of smart water solutions to improve water efficiency, conservation, and resilience.
- Advise clients on integrating digital technologies such as AMI, smart meters, IoT sensors, and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Develop and implement digital transformation strategies for water utilities, focusing on sustainability and real-time data analytics.
- Oversee large-scale smart water projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal leaders, utility managers, and external partners to ensure project success.
- Guide the development of business cases and funding strategies for adopting smart water technologies.
- Mentor and lead project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to keep the organisation at the forefront of smart water solutions.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the water sector, with a focus on digital transformation and smart water solutions.
- Proven track record in deploying smart water systems, including IoT sensors, smart meters, and data platforms.
- Strong expertise in water resource management, sustainability, and integrating digital technologies for utility optimisation.
- In-depth knowledge of technologies for water conservation, leak detection, smart pumping, and water quality monitoring.
- Experience working with public sector clients, municipalities, and water utilities on large-scale projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead teams and manage multi-million-dollar projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, translating technical solutions into actionable strategies.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices in water management and digital transformation.
- Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Water Resources Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
