Position: Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA)
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in landscape architecture, with a focus on site development projects.
- Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of landscape architecture design principles and methods.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes, including permitting processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced working knowledge of digital graphic design tools.
- Ability to make sound decisions and defend methodologies with clarity and confidence.
- Commitment to fostering diversity of thought and respecting diverse perspectives.
- Certification: Active Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, design-driven team that includes experts across various fields.
- Work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including campus and urban design, master-planning, parks, and community spaces.
- Contribute to project design under the guidance of a Project Manager, utilizing both hand-drawn and digital graphic techniques to visualize concepts.
- Assist in creating and editing landscape and site drawings, covering elements such as:
- Site analysis, layout, and hardscape design.
- Grading plans, planting designs, furnishings, and site details.
- Renderings and other presentation materials.
- Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating project documentation.
- Ensure all designs adhere to local codes, ordinances, and applicable standards of practice.
- Perform construction observation and administration tasks, such as:
- Conducting site visits and preparing field reports.
- Reviewing shop drawings and submittals.
- Responding to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information).
