Position Overview:
As a Forensic Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience, you'll work on a variety of structural engineering projects, including both new construction and the restoration of existing structures. You'll perform site investigations, develop detailed technical reports, and design innovative repair and restoration solutions for clients.
This role offers hands-on opportunities to refine your expertise while contributing to exciting and challenging projects. You'll also collaborate closely with a team of talented professionals, gaining exposure to multidisciplinary design processes and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis, design, and investigation for diverse building types, including warehouses, churches, parking garages, and more.
- Evaluate existing structures, deciphering old construction drawings to uncover and resolve challenges.
- Prepare detailed technical reports to document findings, repair strategies, and recommendations.
- Coordinate project deliverables, oversee CAD/REVIT contributions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver construction administration services, including project management, field observations, and client consultations.
- Maintain a high level of detail, ensuring all project milestones and client expectations are met.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- PE licensure (or ability to pass the exam within six months).
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including design with steel, concrete, masonry, or wood framing systems.
- Experience with building envelope assessments, forensic analysis, or repair/restoration projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, along with strong technical writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel locally for site investigations and fieldwork.
