Senior Electrical Engineer (Owner's Side)
Location: Fully Remote (with monthly on-site requirement)
Salary: $200K base + equity
Position Overview:
My client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and power distribution systems for cutting-edge data centers. This role is integral to ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient systems, from conceptualization to implementation. The ideal candidate will be adept in High Voltage and Medium Voltage design, as well as the procurement process, and will have expertise in creating complex CAD models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design power distribution systems and backup power solutions with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Perform detailed load calculations, power distribution analysis, and energy modeling to drive cost-efficient, high-performance solutions.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor) to create technical drawings, electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems to reduce costs and enhance overall performance.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and support design documentation throughout the life-cycle of each project.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accuracy in specifications and seamless design integration.
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on power distribution and systems design, particularly for data centers or related industries.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor with a minimum of 3 years of CAD experience.
- Extensive experience with load calculations, electrical codes, and power distribution modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Electrical Engineer (EE).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive projects forward with urgency-ideal for hustlers who thrive on fast-moving challenges.
- Experience leading projects from concept to implementation with technical proficiency and a solutions-oriented mindset.
