Role Summary:
The Senior Architect will play a crucial role in providing creative and technical leadership within our architecture team. This position involves overseeing the architectural design process, ensuring projects align with client objectives while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence, and spearheading the firm's business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor staff, contribute to firm operations, and serve as an advisor on talent development and process improvement. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all project types executed by the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the architectural design team, including identifying staffing needs, recruiting top talent, and offering mentorship and professional development.
Develop and implement processes to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages design research, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
Explore and integrate innovative design methodologies, materials, and technologies to enhance the quality and sustainability of architectural solutions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and industry forums to stay at the forefront of architectural design leadership.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints, and conduct design reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the architecture and interior design field.
Professional Architecture degree (5-year program) from an accredited university.
Extensive experience in building design for ground-up, renovation, and interior architecture projects.
Architectural licensure is required.
Expertise in all aspects of architecture, interior planning, design, and construction.
Proven leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong understanding of how to position design firm services across multiple markets.
