Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join our team in Greater Boston. The ideal candidate will possess extensive business development and people management skills, with a proven ability to bring in a substantial book of business of $1M or more. This role is essential in driving our growth and expanding our client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and expand our client base.
- Leverage existing client contacts and networks to secure new projects and partnerships.
- Manage and mentor a team of environmental professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Lead complex environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide strategic insights to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry, with a strong emphasis on business development and client management.
- Proven track record of securing $1M or more in business through established client relationships and networks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred but not required: Professional licenses (e.g., PE, PG) or relevant certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
