Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in creating value and making a difference in the lives of our customers!
**About the Role:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing HVAC and/or plumbing construction drawings, details, and schedules. This will involve working closely with our estimators to provide accurate information relative to bid packages, as well as interacting with customers to understand their building usage and internal processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design of building HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret HVAC and/or plumbing plans and specs.
- Provide information to our estimators relative to the bid packages.
- Interact with customers to understand their building usage and internal processes.
- Documentation of systems design in Revit.
- Engineering analysis work, including load calculations, equipment, pipe/duct sizing, etc.
- Building BIM/3D models and coordination of the models with both internal and external team members.
**Requirements:**
- Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 4 or more years of experience in the commercial construction engineering field, preferably in the HVAC and/or plumbing fields.
- Knowledge of local industry codes.
- Experience with BIM process, including software, document exchange, and project coordination.
- Experience with Revit.
- Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is preferred.
- Excellent project management, interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate efficiently both independently and as part of a team with minimal direction from manager.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer knowledge including experience with AutoCAD and MS Office suite is required.
