Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects: Oversee the design, engineering, and implementation of Local Law 126 parking compliance projects, ensuring they meet city regulations and client specifications.
- Team leadership: Manage a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to NYC's Local Law 126 standards, including safety inspections, structural evaluations, and compliance with accessibility and fire protection codes.
- Project planning and execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing issues as they arise.
- Client liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Quality assurance: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the highest quality of work and strict adherence to plans and specifications.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance certifications to city agencies.
Job Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License - must be licensed to practice in New York State.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally with parking or structural restoration projects in NYC.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
- Knowledge of NYC regulations: In-depth understanding of Local Law 126 and other applicable NYC building codes.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, city officials, and team members.
- Problem-solving: Ability to anticipate issues and implement proactive solutions.
