Role Overview: The K-12 Architect will oversee the development of projects from initial documentation through to completion, ensuring the production of precise and well-coordinated documents. This role involves managing the daily activities of the project team and coordinating complex new construction and addition projects for K-12 schools, as well as multiple smaller renovation projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience in K-12 projects preferred
- Licensure not required but preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited architectural program
- At least 5 years of professional experience in architecture
- Strong knowledge of building systems and documentation processes
- Proficient in Construction Documentation (CD)
- Skilled in software such as Revit, Adobe, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the project team, including directing consultants as necessary
- Make design and documentation decisions with sound judgment
- Travel to project sites or design offices as needed to support design and construction efforts under the guidance of the Project Manager
- Collaborate with team members to meet project objectives
- Attend client meetings and build client relationships
