About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and quality of our HR services, with a strong emphasis on payroll processing and time and absence management. You will ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations while collaborating closely with teams both within and outside Japan to deliver high-quality HR services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee payroll operations conducted by an external vendor to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise the Time and Absence Management system, identifying and implementing necessary improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and line managers on time management policies.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle country-specific compensation and benefits topics.
- Manage individual employment-related cases and provide day-to-day employee relations support to line management.
- Maintain labor relations with country managers and union representatives.
- Advise managers on occupational health issues.
- Support and manage key HR initiatives and participate in regional and global projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive HR experience, ideally in roles such as Payroll/HR Expert, HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, or Consultant.
- At least 3 years of solid experience in payroll and time management.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese employment legislation and its practical application.
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
