Overview:
We are seeking a Highway Engineer with drainage expertise to contribute to highway infrastructure projects across Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in highway design and drainage analysis with a focus on sustainable and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze highway projects, including geometric and pavement design.
- Perform drainage analysis and design for roads and stormwater systems.
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and local regulations.
- Model hydrology and hydraulics for drainage systems using software like HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.
- Provide construction support, review plans, and conduct site inspections.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's a plus).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in highway and drainage design.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
- Knowledge of TxDOT standards, stormwater regulations, and environmental best practices.
