VDC Coordinator - Electrical Construction (Remote)

Position Overview:
The VDC Coordinator will be instrumental in managing and optimizing Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows for sophisticated electrical construction projects. This role ensures efficient coordination, accurate design, and seamless collaboration across project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and management of BIM models to ensure design accuracy, clash detection, and constructability.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align BIM deliverables with project objectives and schedules.
- Develop, implement, and uphold VDC workflows, standards, and best practices to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Facilitate VDC-related meetings and provide expert technical guidance to support project milestones and execution.
- Identify and resolve VDC challenges, offering innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Mentor and train team members on VDC software, tools, and methodologies to build internal expertise.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with a strong preference for electrical construction expertise.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in VDC/BIM coordination, with proficiency in tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of construction workflows, processes, and standards.
