About the Role:
My client, an award-winning engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing electrical systems for new buildings and renovations within the Higher Education market, including laboratories, student centers, administration buildings, vocational labs, auditoriums, and athletic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an electrical design team performing field verification, design team coordination, construction document preparation, permitting, and construction administration.
- Design medium voltage, power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage project phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical system design.
- Experience with Division of State Architecture (DSA) and municipal projects preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant codes and standards.
