Primary Responsibilities
The Corporate BIM Director will lead the company's Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) efforts, ensuring the effective integration of these processes across all projects. This individual will:
- Develop and implement the organization's BIM/VDC strategy to align with corporate goals and project delivery.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team of BIM specialists, fostering professional growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize construction processes, with a particular emphasis on electrical construction.
- Oversee BIM/VDC workflows, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Monitor and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of BIM/VDC processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for BIM-related issues and ensure successful coordination with project teams, clients, and consultants.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with a strong preference for expertise in electrical construction.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in BIM/VDC management, including implementing workflows and software solutions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong knowledge of BIM technologies, including platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Availability to travel to job sites and corporate offices as needed.
