Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials testing, project management, and team leadership. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials used in our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the CMT department, including staff, equipment, and resources.
- Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide timely and accurate testing results.
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports for clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant testing standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and software.
- Certification in relevant CMT areas (e.g., NICET, ACI) is preferred.
