Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Contaminated Land Manager to join their team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contaminated land assessment, remediation, and project management. This role involves leading contaminated land projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage contaminated land assessment and remediation projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, and develop remediation strategies.
- Prepare and review technical reports, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Remediation Action Plans, and validation reports.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation and standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation.
- Strong knowledge of NSW contaminated land legislation and guidelines.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in environmental assessment tools and software.
- Certification or accreditation in contaminated land management is highly desirable.
