Role Summary:
The BIM Manager will play a critical role in leading and managing the implementation and use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across all projects. This position involves overseeing the BIM process, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality and efficiency, and supporting the architectural team with the latest BIM technologies and best practices. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a technical expert in BIM.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement BIM standards, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams in the use of BIM technologies and processes.
Coordinate and manage the integration of BIM with various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to staff to enhance their BIM skills and knowledge.
Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, trends, and best practices, and implement them within the firm.
Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the BIM infrastructure is maintained and optimized.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to project teams during all project phases.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a BIM management role within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other related tools.
Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to train and mentor staff in BIM technologies and processes.
Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and project documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Certification in BIM-related courses or programs is preferred.
