RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Select components during development, communicate with suppliers, create and maintain component libraries
- Layout high voltage harnesses, low voltage harnesses, and create drawings using Electrical CAD, Solidworks electrical, or similar tools
- Review and design electrical circuits (e.g. isolation monitors, cell monitors, safety uC, ASIC-based data acquisition, temperature monitoring, overvoltage, overcurrent protection, full discharge protection, interlock loop monitoring, power limiting, active-passive protection, wake-up control, supply management, etc.)
- Data integration into ESS models for LT Spice simulation of BMS circuits and HIL simulation
IMPORTANT TO HAVE SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience in HW, EE, PCB design and EMC optimization
- Familiarity with FMEDA tools and functional safety standards such as IEC61580, IEC62061, ISO26262
- Experience with LT Spice circuit simulation and Altium Designer or similar tools
- Experience with circuit design, PCB design and BOM release of EE systems
- Experience with EMC optimization, testing and high voltage isolation design
- Fluent English and Japanese communication
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of battery pack mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.
- Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment requiring initiative and ownership.
- Experience with SIEMENS NX, CATIA v5, or similar CAD tools a plus.
- Experience in organization and implementation of EMC optimization for battery packs and related hardware.
