They are seeking an experienced Senior Associate - Water/Wastewater to lead and manage outside-the-fence conveyance design projects, oversee project execution, and support business development efforts. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in water and wastewater conveyance systems, project management, and business development, specifically within Northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design of outside-the-fence water and wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on business development and expanding opportunities in the water/wastewater sector.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions that meet regulatory requirements and client needs.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping to develop talent within the team.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including those specific to Virginia.
- Prepare technical proposals and presentations to support business development and secure new projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- 15-25 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, with a focus on outside-the-fence conveyance design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia required.
- Extensive experience managing and delivering complex water/wastewater projects, with a strong understanding of conveyance systems.
- Proven business development experience, with the ability to cultivate relationships and generate new business.
- Strong knowledge of local Virginia regulations and standards related to water and wastewater systems.
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
