Title: Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - $140,000
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with 6+ years of relevant experience to lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing project design, development, and implementation while ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. You'll work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, bringing technical expertise to various water and wastewater projects such as treatment facilities, distribution networks, and stormwater management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the design and engineering of water and wastewater projects, including treatment plants, distribution systems, pump stations, and pipelines. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful delivery.
- Design and Analysis: Perform and oversee hydraulic modeling, calculations, and technical design work. Ensure that engineering designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and meet client requirements.
- Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Prepare permit applications, environmental reports, and other regulatory documentation. Liaise with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and ensure projects meet environmental standards.
- Client and Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, provide technical guidance, and address project-related inquiries.
- Construction Support: Oversee construction activities, conduct site visits, and review shop drawings and submittals. Provide technical assistance during construction and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Implement quality control procedures and review project deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
- Team Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and support staff in project tasks, design techniques, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a strong background in project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling programs (e.g., HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, InfoWater).
- Thorough understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and relevant regulations.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and interacting with clients and regulatory bodies
