Job Description: Water Resources Project Manager
Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000
Experience: Minimum 7+ Years
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee all phases of water resource projects, from initial planning to final delivery.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and implementation of water resource systems, including stormwater, flood control, and watershed management projects.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, permitting, and feasibility studies.
Client Engagement and Business Development
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in water resources engineering.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and scope-of-work documents for clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service delivery.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, civil engineers, and surveyors.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and water resource engineering principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports, permit applications, and engineering drawings.
Software Proficiency:
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM
- Design Tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS
- Project Management Software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in water resource engineering, with demonstrated project management expertise.
