We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join a top national civil engineering firm In this role, you will play a key part in the evaluation, design, and rehabilitation of wastewater collection systems, as well as the design of water distribution systems. You will be involved in various phases of project development, from planning and design through to construction, ensuring the successful completion of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and assess wastewater collection and water distribution systems, ensuring they meet project specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, including system analysis, flow development, and pipeline routing alternatives.
- Conduct site investigations, field assessments, and coordinate utility work, ensuring all design elements are integrated effectively.
- Collaborate on erosion control and sedimentation plans, tree protection measures, and engineering cost estimates.
- Manage the preparation of contract documents, specifications, and construction bids.
- Provide support during the construction phase, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate project teams across multiple disciplines, including surveying, geotechnical, structural, and electrical engineering.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and scope of work, ensuring seamless communication among team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in civil or environmental engineering, specifically with water/wastewater systems.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or GIS is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel locally for site inspections and client meetings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
