The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Transportation Engineer (Level 6) to join our dynamic team. With 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile projects while advancing your career within a supportive and empowering work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from conceptual design to construction.
- Provide technical expertise in transportation planning, design, and analysis, ensuring the highest quality of work.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Contribute to project management, budget tracking, and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and relevant codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway, transit, and/or traffic engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Illinois or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex transportation projects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with clients and project stakeholders.
- Experience with industry-standard design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, SYNCHRO, HCS, etc.).
