Lead Engineer - Interconnection Analysis
This role focuses on performing interconnection analysis for the study and evaluation of customer requests in the interconnection queue process. The engineer will be responsible for assessing compliance with industry standards and supporting various adequacy and reliability assessments related to system planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct power system analysis to support interconnection requests and reliability studies.
- Identify and evaluate transmission system reinforcements to address operational issues.
- Perform system adequacy and reliability assessments.
- Assist with the development of innovative methods in the planning process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing analytical and automation tools for reliability testing.
- Proficiency in mentoring and helping others conduct complex studies.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and providing technical support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Familiarity with company operations, markets, and planning functions.
- Experience using PSS/e (Power System Simulation software).
