Traffic Project Manager
Richmond VA
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Lead the development of traffic analyses, engineering reports, and various transportation studies.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
Ensure project completion by deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Provide oversight and mentoring to traffic/design engineers.
Develop and monitor project scope, pricing, schedules, and budgets.
Manage technical resources and prepare invoices.
Coordinate with Section Heads and Office Managers on marketing proposals.
Familiar with design plans for traffic signals, signing, lighting, pavement markings, ITS, and maintenance projects.
Develop Project Management Plans and manage subconsultants.
Support Section Heads in developing extra work order requests and proposals.
Attend client meetings and presentations.
Required Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, VISSIM, and MicroStation.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
10+ years of experience in traffic engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) License in VA.
Project/task management and proposal development experience.
PTOE or PMP certification.
Experience with local clients at the county and state level.
Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
