Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking an experienced and skilled Telecoms BIM Designer to join their team and contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating and managing BIM models, ensuring the delivery of high-quality telecom design solutions. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with the team and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to produce detailed telecom design drawings and documentation.
- Integrate telecommunications systems into building designs using BIM software, ensuring seamless coordination with other building services.
- Provide technical expertise in BIM processes and best practices, continuously improving the efficiency and quality of telecom design deliverables.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts within the BIM model, ensuring all systems are fully coordinated.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for clients and project teams.
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements, ensuring all telecom designs meet their needs and expectations.
- Utilize Revit and other BIM software to create and manage detailed 3D models, ensuring all design elements are accurately represented.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members, ensuring all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure telecom designs are integrated seamlessly with other building systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously enhancing knowledge and expertise in BIM and telecom design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in telecom design, with a strong focus on BIM.
- Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software, with a deep understanding of BIM processes and standards.
- Experience in designing and managing telecom infrastructure projects, including fiber optics, DAS, and wireless systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts within BIM models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Experience working with clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality telecom design solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in telecom design and BIM.
