They are currently seeking a PE licensed forensic engineer with a structural background. With a passion for problem-solving, a key eye for detail and a genuine care for customer satisfaction you would be the perfect candidate for this role. As a key member of the team, you will investigate, analyze and remediate structural issues, providing clear, data-driven conclusions. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic investigations to diagnose structural failures, defects and damages.
- Perform field inspections, data collection and non-destructive testing on-site.
- Analyse architectural and engineering plans, specifications and historical data to identify issues.
- Prepare detailed technical reports that include findings, root cause analysis, remediation recommendations, and carry out repair works.
- Collaborate with clients, legal teams and insurance companies to provide expert testimony.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, building codes and engineering advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural engineering, Civil engineering or related fields.
- (MUST HAVE) Professional Engineer License in GA.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on forensic investigation (including storm damage investigation/roof inspections).
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods and structural analysis.
- proven experience in failure analysis, structural inspections, and condition assessments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Auto CAD, SAP2000, ETABS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing clear, concise reports.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to think analytically.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
