Job Title: Senior Wind Turbine Project Manager
Location: Taipei or Taichung, Taiwan
Position Overview: The Senior Wind Turbine Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of wind turbine projects in Taiwan, with a focus on offshore installations. This role requires a strong background in wind turbine technology, project management, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with wind turbine OEMs and a deep understanding of the offshore wind industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of wind turbine projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones and deliverables.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure safety compliance.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, performance metrics, and budget variance.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project life-cycle.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on wind energy projects.
- Proven experience managing wind turbine projects, with offshore experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of wind turbine technology, components, and installation processes.
- Familiarity with leading wind turbine OEMs and suppliers in the industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
- Fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.
