Transportation Design Engineer - Lead the Way in San Luis Obispo's Multimodal Infrastructure

Our philanthropic client with significant active transportation projects across the SLO area is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer who is passionate about making a difference in their community and can fill in some technical gaps on their team. This permanent position offers a hybrid schedule and plenty of support below and above this role to help you grow to new heights without being overworked!

Role Responsibilities:
- Work on a wide spectrum of design projects including multimodal corridor and intersection studies, roundabouts, parks/trails, etc.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results
- Engage stakeholders through effective communication and some business development strategies
Ideal Qualifications:
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience at a municipality or private consulting firm
- Technically strong in transportation/traffic design to support multimodal and active transportation projects
- Project management experience preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or InRoads
Target Salary Range: $125,000 - $165,000
