Role Overview:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will leverage your structural engineering expertise to lead the design, analysis, and assessment of intricate structural systems. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, Your role will include close collaboration with other specialist practice areas, such as. Additionally, you will play a vital role in post-construction efforts, overseeing investigations, analysis, and repair designs. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to mentor junior engineers and take a central role in project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and analysis of advanced structural systems, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Offer technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers, helping them grow professionally.
- Perform on-site inspections and assess structural integrity to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and repair strategies.
- Work across various disciplines, utilizing expertise in concrete, cement, and materials science to ensure comprehensive project execution.
- Assist with evaluating historic buildings, building envelopes, and construction defects, contributing to restoration and remediation efforts.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring timely and effective completion.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proficient in structural analysis software and design codes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience with seismic design and analysis.
- Proven project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
