This role offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental site investigations, remediation projects, and related environmental services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in field sampling procedures, environmental data analysis, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand on knowledge of drilling procedures and standard field sampling techniques for various environmental media, including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, surface water, and air.
- Oversee the installation of groundwater and soil vapor monitoring wells, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Lead field tasks and manage project activities including the preparation of project plans, permit applications, sub-contractor agreements, and site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
- Train and guide junior staff on standard field methods and best practices.
- Supervise subcontractors during environmental site investigations and remediation efforts.
- Analyze and interpret hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data collected during investigations.
- Prepare draft technical reports for review by project managers and senior staff.
- Ensure the implementation of safe work practices in the field in alignment with safety protocols and regulations.
- Gain expertise in federal and state regulations related to environmental site investigations, remediation, compliance, and due diligence projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related applied science (Master's degree preferred).
- 2-4 years of relevant field experience in environmental engineering or geology.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Professional; experience with in-field documentation using tablet computers.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, technical writing, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Comfortable overseeing subcontractors (e.g., drillers, construction workers) during field activities.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended hours in diverse weather conditions, including field days of up to 12 hours.
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols in environmentally impacted field sites and commitment to safety culture.
- Willingness to respond to and perform emergency response work as needed, including being on-call for set periods.
Preferred Training:
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- CPR and First Aid training

Compensation: Salary for this position is commensurate with experience, technical expertise, and geographic location, with a range of $75,000 - $110,000 annually.
