Description: Our client, a prominent, multi-disciplinary Civil Engineering firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join a distinguished client's Public Works Group. This role offers a fantastic chance to become an integral part of a skilled, collaborative, and motivated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee public works projects, including client interactions, agency coordination, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Lead project teams composed of diverse technical staff members.
- Act as a liaison between city staff and other technical groups.
- Present to clients, city councils, boards, and commissions.
- Develop engineering project proposals and task orders, including defining scope, schedule, and fees.
- Prepare City Council Staff Reports and other documentation.
- Create and implement projects, programs, procedures, and policies.
- Support public outreach efforts, prepare presentations, and participate in public workshops.
- Conduct thorough and timely reviews of plans for commercial and residential projects.
- Ensure complete project entitlements related to Public Works for various clients.
- Review technical studies related to projects.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with the public, development community, and city government staff.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, scope of work, budgets, and project development teams effectively.
- Skilled in analyzing design and construction-related issues and providing effective solutions.
- Proficient in preparing, reading, and interpreting engineering reports and plans.
- Experience with AutoCAD and BlueBeam.
- Ability to work independently on project management and technical matters.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
- Qualified Storm Water Pollution Plan Developer (QSD) certification is preferred.
