We are partnering with a leading offshore wind manufacturer that specializes in high-voltage (HV) equipment production for the renewable energy sector. They are committed to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions that drive sustainable energy. To support their continued growth, We are assisting them in finding a highly skilled QA/QC Manager to lead their quality assurance and quality control team.
Role Summary:
The QA/QC Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for the production of 66kV HV equipment. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong technical expertise and experience in offshore wind manufacturing. The successful candidate will lead a team of 10-12 QA/QC professionals and ensure that all production meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of 10-12 QA/QC professionals, including inspectors, engineers, and technicians.
- Cultivate a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide mentoring, training, and development opportunities to ensure team members are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Quality Assurance and Control Management:
- Develop, implement, and uphold QA/QC policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IEC standards) and client specifications.
- Ensure all 66kV HV equipment produced is in compliance with regulatory requirements and the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and testing of production processes and final products to proactively identify and address quality issues.
Project Collaboration and Compliance:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to align QA/QC processes with project timelines and requirements.
- Interface with clients, third-party inspectors, and certification bodies to ensure all products meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee non-conformance reports (NCRs) and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to resolve quality concerns.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the QA/QC department to enhance process efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze quality data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, root causes, and implement effective corrective measures.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure all QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records, are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to senior management, providing insights into key quality issues, trends, and improvement actions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC management within the offshore wind, renewable energy, or power generation industry.
- Demonstrated experience in 66kV HV equipment production, including testing, inspection, and certification processes.
- Proven track record of managing and developing a QA/QC team of 10-12 professionals.
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, IEC standards, and offshore wind guidelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
