Senior Mechanical Engineer (Owner's Side)
Location: 3 Weeks Remote / 1 Week On-Site at Location in Texas
Salary:150k+ with Equity
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of mechanical systems within our data centers, focusing on both HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and DLC (direct liquid cooling) systems. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with a strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to ensure efficient and reliable cooling solutions.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Develop and manage mechanical engineering reference design consisting of efficient and reliable HVAC and DLC systems for data centers.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Perform thermal analysis and simulations to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with other engineers and architects to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of mechanical systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in HVAC and DLC designs.

ABOUT YOU
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Three to five years experience in mechanical engineering design and implementation for data centers.
- Analytical problem solver who is able to evaluate engineering challenges from multiple vantages using first principles approach.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to delegate and manage third party design consultants, ensuring timely delivery of design.
