Job Description: Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Remote Position with Growth Opportunities)
Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Remote (Minimal Travel)
Experience: 10-15 Years
Travel Requirements: Minimal (5-10% of time)

Key Responsibilities:
Geotechnical Engineering Design:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, from concept through construction.
- Provide technical expertise in areas like foundation design, slope stability, soil mechanics, site investigations, and retaining walls.
- Perform detailed geotechnical analyses using advanced geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience suite).
Project Management:
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing geotechnical guidance to civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and design documents.
Client Relations & Business Development:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Assist the CEO in business development efforts, including client presentations, proposals, and project bidding.
- Support firm expansion through thought leadership, mentoring junior staff, and improving internal processes.
Strategic Leadership:
- Work closely with the CEO to set strategic direction for the firm, identifying growth opportunities in the geotechnical sector.
- Take on increasing responsibility for the overall technical vision of the firm, evolving into a Chief Engineer role.
- Provide input into company operations, help improve productivity, and lead the technical staff.
Mentorship & Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical training and professional development.
- Lead teams, reviewing work for quality control and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
- 10-15 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including design and project management.
- Extensive knowledge of geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work remotely and manage teams effectively.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and interacting with clients.
- A proven track record of contributing to business growth and expansion.
