We are partnered with an established and rapidly growing engineering firm in the US who are seeking a new Senior Geotechnical Engineer in their Atlanta office to come in and assist with their backlog of projects. They have a huge focus on Renewable projects and are repeatedly being asked to complete more work from their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including soil testing, site assessments, and analysis for renewable energy projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, geotechnical designs, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders to provide expert geotechnical advice and recommendations.
- Oversee fieldwork and coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Contribute to business development efforts by providing technical expertise and supporting proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience with project management and client relations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to renewable energy projects.
- Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.
