Job Summary:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing technical aspects of geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis. You'll work closely with a team of talented engineers, project managers, and technical staff to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Your expertise will contribute to advancing our company's reputation as a leader in the geotechnical engineering field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical investigations, assessments, and analysis for a variety of projects, including infrastructure, commercial, and energy-related developments.
- Manage all phases of project delivery, from planning and fieldwork through analysis, design, and construction support.
- Provide technical expertise on foundation design, slope stability, ground improvement, retaining walls, and earthworks.
- Conduct site evaluations, coordinate laboratory testing, and interpret data to provide recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project goals are met in terms of quality, budget, and schedule.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders, presenting findings and technical recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain within six months).
- 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in geotechnical investigations and foundation design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Plaxis, LPile) and a solid understanding of engineering principles and regulatory standards.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, reporting, and team collaboration.
