Job Opportunity: Senior Groundwater Geologist
Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable professional to join our team, focusing on a range of groundwater systems, including brackish water supply, Aquifer Storage Recovery (ASR), indirect potable reuse systems, and Class I Injection Wells. This role involves collaboration with various disciplines, technical report preparation, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in diverse groundwater projects, ensuring adherence to firm policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation teams throughout design and construction phases.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and specifications.
- Develop technical scopes for drilling, sampling, and testing activities.
- Contribute to knowledge management through the creation of technical papers and design documentation.
- Maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations, attending relevant events to present findings.
- Work with sales teams to craft proposals for current and potential projects.
- Serve as the primary contact for external clients and industry stakeholders.
- Assist project teams by interpreting technical and regulatory issues, supporting project planning and budgeting.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, fostering their development within the organization.
- Supervise junior team members on project tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Professional Geologist registration preferred, or eligibility for registration.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed, depending on project demands.
Preferred:
- Experience in groundwater engineering and municipal supply systems.
- Familiarity with ASR, brackish water supply, and indirect potable reuse systems.
- Involvement in fieldwork related to active drilling.
- Experience with regulatory approval and permitting processes for groundwater systems.
- Knowledge of corrosion-resistant materials and control systems used in groundwater applications.
Skills and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of scientific methods and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CADD) software for 3D and 4D modeling.
Travel Requirement: Approximately 10% travel may be required.
