Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roadway Design Project Manager to lead our roadway design projects. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from conceptual design to construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage roadway design projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams to establish project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against project milestones and targets.
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members, including engineers, designers, and support staff.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, and maintain regular communication to provide project updates and address client needs and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Minnesota or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in roadway design and project management, including managing complex transportation projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering roadway design projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical knowledge of roadway design principles, standards, and software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working with state and local transportation agencies in Minnesota is highly desirable.
