Summary
A company is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join its growing Renewable Energy services group, providing support on Civil/Site design for Solar, Battery Energy Storage, and other renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of design, production, and implementation of Renewable Energy development projects and Civil/Site projects. Experience with site plan design, grading design, and storm water and hydraulic calculations are a plus, along with familiarity with State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), Department of Environmental Conservation storm water permitting, and code review.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and assist with preliminary site layouts
- Develop comprehensive solar designs, including site plans, structural drawings, and engineering calculations
- Produce site plan and construction documents for permit approvals and construction
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and coworkers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of experience
- EIT or PE license preferred; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to project tasks and challenges
