As a lead protective designer, you'll guide projects from concept through final design and construction, serving clients in various sectors, including government and industrial markets. You'll coordinate between disciplines, engage with stakeholders, and participate in quality control processes to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Review protective design criteria specific to clients and develop comprehensive strategies to meet these requirements.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to integrate protective design solutions into building and site projects.
- Create a variety of protective design solutions (such as AT/FP, SCIF, perimeter security, and electronic security systems) for a diverse client base.
- Produce construction documents (drawings and specifications) based on established protective design criteria.
- Oversee and ensure quality control of protective design reports and construction documents.
- Review scopes of work and develop in-house proposals for protective design projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Familiarity with security criteria from various agencies (e.g., Department of Defense).
- Experience with concept studies, design documents, and construction phase services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Additional Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect preferred.
- ASIS Protective Design Professional (PSP) certification preferred.
