Our client is a leading provider of construction, engineering, and maintenance services with a strong presence in energy and infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Substation Project Manager to lead the management and execution of substation projects for Duke Energy in the Carolinas.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of substation projects, from planning through to completion. You will work closely with Duke Energy stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that all project goals, timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met. Your leadership will ensure that the projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, design, and execution of substation construction projects for Duke Energy in the Carolinas, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact with Duke Energy and other key stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and managing relationships to ensure project success.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project milestones on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field experience in substation construction
- Strong technical and financial knowledge
- Ability to work on site and travel regionally
- PMP is a plus but not required
